California Sales OK on this pistol! Here is a particularly scarce Python Hunter model, with a very high level of condition and completeness. These Python Hunters were produced 1981 only, with rumored around 2400 pieces. As expected, this example has 8" barrel, Colt-marked Leupold 2X scope and ammo boxes, Cleaning rod, jag, brush, two allen wrenches. The proper "Python Hunter" manual is present, as well as yellow, octagonal paper "caution" tag with the yellow string. Also present are the original instructions for the combination lock on the Halliburton "Zero" aluminum case, "The Colt Companion" booklet, "Instructions for Colt/Leupold 2X Extended Eyey-Relief Scope" brochure, and "Colt Firearms Authorized Service Stations" pamphlet. Case has minor handling scratches on its exterior, but no more serious defects than that. Particularly scarce for this model is the original, soft and intact foam lining. This is usually deteriorated, but has survived well on this example due to proper storage. Pistol has serial #LA92XX. After close examination we determined this revolver has been fired, but VERY little. There is only the slightest thinning of the blueing around the firing pin hole, but no "brass color" has been deposited there. As you see in the photos, there is a faint line around the cylinder, but it actually looks less-pronounced in real life! I have attempted to describe all observed evidence of use on this fine revolver. Overall, condition is a strong PPGS 99% with no surprises. Here is the opportunity to add a pristine condition Python Hunter to your collection!
