Here is an opportunity for those of you who missed out on the last MS350B rifle we offered! These gems, especially with high levels of condition, are getting rarer every day. Serial #1160XX was likely made in 1934, and the metal retains excellent condition. Serial numbers match on the parts. The 26-1/2" barrel has a clean, crisp shiny bore and chamber. The "in the white" muzzle has developed a darkened patina, but we dared not clean it up...leave that for the next guy! The rear sliding tangent sight is likely a replacement; we have not seen a similar example in Jon Speed's Mauser Smallbores book. The sight's elevation and windage knobs are numbered and have spring loaded "click detents."
The nicely figured walnut stock is crack free, has beautiful, crisp checkering, and a minimum of handling marks. Present, as an avid Mauser 22 collector would expect, are the mysterious "Mauser Scratch" on the top of the wrist, between the checkered panels, and a small chip from the tang area, caused by careless insertion of the bolt at some point. Wood is still proud over the tang, bolt stop and buttplate, as is desireable.
Included with purchase is the pictured, rare, Mauser logo original magazine.
