I've always liked these rifles. Theey are compact, rugged and reliable. Remington built the Model 600 from 1964 to 1968 and today hunters and sportsmen still value the model for its unique attributes. The 18-1/2" vent rib barrel has a clean shiny bore with crisp rifling. Metal finish is well above average, with only the most minor of blemishes detectable. Mechanicals are perfect. From the looks of the receiver interior and bolt face, this rifle has not seen much use. Rear sight is no longer present due the the scope having been mounted. The Bushnell 3x9 Banner also has a "hold over" knob on the elevation turret, which we think is a nice touch. The scope is in excellent condition both outside and optically. It is crisp and clear and has a Duplex reticle. The scope is solidly mounted on a Redfield steel one piece base.
The stock is in very nice shape, free of cracks and with some scrapes and nicks visible under close scrutiny.
