These Beretta shotguns were produced, as I understand it, for the European market and sold by Sauer. Typical European features include the roll-knurled side ribs, scallop-capped pistol grip, 3/4" sling swivels and a cheekpiece for right handed shooters. 28" barrels have 2-3/4" chambers and lock up tight to the action. Selective ejectors are strong and positive and shiny bores measure: Upper 0.722 and choked 0.040" Lower 0.728" and choked 0.030" Black finish rates a strong 95% and possibly as high as 98% with thinning on portions of the sides of the rib and one spot of "frosting" about four inches behind the muzzle of the lower barrel. Minimum barrel wall thickness is 0.033" and barrels are dent-free.
At seven pounds and one ounce, this nimble gun balances at the hinge pin.
Walnut stock is solid, tight and has a few very slight pressure/handling marks. Drop at heel is approx 2-3/8" and pull 14-1/8" from front articulated trigger over a fresh KICK-EEZ pad. The original Sauer-Beretta hard plastic buttplate was retained and is included with the gun.
In all, this is a great, solid 12 bore ejector from a famous maker and in a scarce configuration.
