This 12 bore Simson is marked on the concave, knurled rib "SIMSON SUHL (THURINGEN)" and on the side of the left barrel "WAFFEN FRANKONIA-WURZBURG" 28-3/8" barrels feature 2-3/4" chambers, ejectors, sideclips and Greener-style cross bolt. Bores measure 0.725", are shiny and clean, choked right full 0.035" and left extra full. Barrels lock-up tight on-face with no movement, and with the top lever landing just about center. Other features include automatic safety, cocking indicators, sling swivels and wonderful semi-deep relief game-scene engraving. Pull is approx 15" from front trigger to over the 1" white-line pad, and drop at heel approx 2-5/8" The pistol grip stock has a shadow-line cheekpiece for a right handed shooter. Wood and metal finish are excellent with nary a handling mark, proud wood at the inletting and great checkering. At seven pounds, three ounces, this is a lively little gun with super condition, that balances about an inch forward of the hinge pin.
