Let us introduce this refreshingly crisp example of the Winchester Model 71 Deluxe! Serial number 374XX was likely manufactured in 1952 and has the short receiver tang and Lyman 56 receiver sight installed. Weighing in at eight pounds seven ounces, this handy rifle, chambered of course for 348 Winchester, retains at least two lifetimes of service in its heart. Mechanically flawless, the metal rates an easy 95% and possibly as high as 98% original blueing, with some high edge wear and a light spot on the left middle of the tang. Minty bore, rifling, chamber and bolt face testify that this rifle has seen scarcely any use. The gorgeous, unblemished stock and fore end have had their checkering and finish lightly crisped By Dennis Earl Smith of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild. The pictured Winchester Super Grade sling swivels are included with sale of the rifle.
