There were a good number of these made between 1954 and 1961 and they
are good sturdy guns. This example, serial # 1508XX has the steel
receiver and an uncut barrel with modified choke. Overall condition and
finish are an easy 95%, and possibly as high as 98%. Refreshing to see
this gun does NOT have a "dingy" look we usually see on a fifty year old
piece! This one does have minor handling marks, but from a few feet
away it appears like new from the box. Blueing is crisp and shiny and
pretty much devoid of surface scratches. Barrel retains near perfect
blacking and a clean, shiny bore. action cycles smooth and crisp and the
action interior shows no signs of wear. Wood is crack free and gouge
free and retains great original finish. Not new in the box, but
desirable as a WAY better than average example of the Model 50 in 20
gauge.
